Martin Luther King Jr. will be celebrated for his embrace of a nonviolent life on Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 16th at 11 AM at his statue on the Court St River Walk near the bridge.
Peace Action, Veterans for Peace, and UpState Pax Christi will highlight his life of peace, justice and the sisterhood/brotherhood of all people on our planet.
Banners, signs and music will proclaim this great American. Afterward, a procession with banners and signs will walk across the bridge to join in on the MLK event at noon at First Congregational with NAACP friends and members.
